Our Journey
Nick and Sarah, the founders of Wholly Balls Protein Bites, embarked on their entrepreneurial journey with a shared love for health, wellness, adventure, and happiness. Their story began in the spring of 2023, a time of new beginnings. Just weeks after meeting, an idea sprouted during one of Nick's fly fishing trips in the scenic Black Hills of South Dakota. With a sweet little care package prepared by Sarah, filled with her homemade protein balls, Nick discovered not just a fulfilling (and RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS) snack but a potential business opportunity.
Sarah, a busy mom, RN, and full-time Nurse Practitioner student with a knack for fitness and nutrition, had perfected her protein ball recipe over the years. These snacks were designed to meet her strict dietary needs while also satisfying her sweet tooth and not compromising her fitness goals.
2024
Turning Point
As Nick savored the last of his protein balls (intended to last both him AND his buddies the entire weekend) just hours into his trip, he realized the potential of Sarah’s creation. By the time their next fishing trip came around, road-trip chatter turned into serious conversation, and with encouragement and a gently nudge from Nick, the duo decided to transform Sarah’s passion into a thriving business!

Our Growth and Expansion
In just over one year, Wholly Balls! has evolved from a simple kitchen experiment to a beloved and well recognized local brand with an ever-growing national and international footprint comprised of partnerships within the CrossFit community, golf courses, health food markets, yoga studios, gyms, grocery stores, and so many others!
Wholly Balls! also continues to evolve with a growing assortment of new flavors! Starting with the original recipe, the selection has expanded to include four additional flavors (with MORE coming soon!), each maintaining the brand's commitment to clean, nutrient-dense, and high-protein ingredients.
